PGetStoryID

Gets the story ID of the selected text block.

Query results

This query returns a long value, representing the PageMaker internal ID for the selected story.

To get the story ID of highlighted text, use the PGetTextRun command.

Single text block only; no highlighted text. PGetStoryID throws an exception if:

More than one text block is selected.
No text blocks are selected.
A text block plus any other object are selected.
Text is highlighted.
The text tool is active.
